Airframe system electronics

Ultra provides high integrity, high reliability real-time aircraft control systems. The Controls business supplies advanced landing gear control systems and the associated sensors for civil and military aircraft, including those made by Airbus and Boeing. Electrics supplies landing gear and flap control switches and advanced conduit systems for the protection of aircraft wiring in harsh environments, principally for use on Airbus civil and military aircraft. The Boeing 747 and 787 aircraft use custom translating wire linkages to pass power and sensor data to and from the movable leading edge wing flaps. Electrics also supplies high-integrity data bus network nodes, used in aircraft applications such as the cargo handling systems for the new Airbus A400M military transporter.
